Lake Bled

A postcard of an alpine lake with a tiny island parked in the middle — the only natural island in Slovenia, with a little pilgrimage church you row out to and ring the wishing bell. A castle clings to the cliff above, there's a cream cake the town is weirdly famous for, and a summer toboggan run down the hillside. Small, and knows it's gorgeous.
